Committee members of the DeWitt County Pheasants Forever Chapter attended the 2017 Illinois State Pf/QF Meeting held January 21-22 in Springfield. This year we were able to attend several breakout sessions that educate us on how to continue to serve our county in its needs in habitat and youth shooting sports and education. This year 2 individuals of our chapter were recognized for outstanding achievements!
Eric Isaac was inducted into the Long Spur Society. The Long Spur Society is made up of individuals that have demonstrated their commitment to the mission and vision of Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever. These individuals play an integral roll in their chapter and regularly attend meetings and functions outside their chapter. Eric Isaac is a big piece of why our chapter is so successful. Congratulations Eric!
Kenny May received the Dedication award. The Dedication Award is earned by an individual who has served an active roll in their chapter for multiple years, have been instrumental in the continuation of the chapter, and played an essential roll in the development and growth of the chapter and its programs. Kenny May is always there to help out and we are proud to call him our committee member and friend. Congratulations Kenny!
As a chapter, we were recognized for being a Membership Monster. We brought in 302 memberships in 2016 which is more than any other chapter in the state of Illinois! Thanks to our wonderful members, we were able to earn this title along with being the 11th ranked chapter in the nation. We continue to strive to stay successful and improve on membership and assisting our community as needed. Thank you to all who are involved and support the DeWitt County Pheasants Forever!
